Anniversary gala ![]() In addition to pop-soul queen Anastacia, 28-year-old virtuoso violinist David Garrett will be guest starring in Art on Ice 2010. On the ice, a second superstar in the form of Jewgeni Plushenko will be appearing alongside his longtime “rival” Stéphane Lambiel. The 15th Anniversary Gala of Art on Ice is certain to be a momentous occasion. Two of the best figure skaters of all time and two world famous musicians will be guest starring from 4 till 7 March in Zurich and on 8 and 9 March in Lausanne. Following the sensational success of his gold album “Virtuoso” and his platinum album “Encore” as well as numerous performances in sold-out concert halls, the young violin virtuoso will be performing in Art on Ice. The German-American will be interrupting his US tour especially for the greatest ice skating show on earth. Legendary violinists such as Isaac Stern and Yehudi Menuhin called Garrett the “greatest violinist of his generation”. Anastacia and David Garrett on the stage – Stéphane Lambiel and Jewgeni Plushenko on the ice… Like Stéphane Lambiel, Olympic gold medalist 2006 Jewgeni Plushenko returned to competitive skating some months ago. Other outstanding performers are Sasha Cohen, silver medalist at the Turin 2006 Olympics, Kurt Browning, four-time world champion, two-time pair skating world champions Aljona Savchenko & Robin Szolkowy, two-time European silver medalist Sarah Meier or Isabelle Delobel & Olivier Schoenfelder, the ice dancing world gold medalists in 2008.
