Casting

In order to be accepted into the talent pool, an annual casting takes place in which the best talents present themselves to a jury.

Casting 2025/26

Eligibility to participat

Skaters from Swiss Ice Skating’s Novice and Junior teams aged 12 to 17 were selected by a jury and contacted.

 

The selected skaters will take part in a casting in November 2025, from which the new members of Art on Ice young talents will be chosen.

The best of all applications will be invited to the casting. The casting will take place on 11 November 2024 in the Swiss Life Arena in Zurich. The selection for Art on Ice will be made after the National Championships in December in consultation with Swiss Ice Skating. Participation in international competitions that take place during or immediately after Art on Ice will also be taken into consideration.

Past castings

2024/25

The casting for the Art on Ice young talents took place for the second time in November 2024. The jury was expanded to include world champion Denise Biellmann and show skater and actress Nobahar Dadui, and the talent team was expanded to include 5 more figure skating talents. The Talent Team 2024/25 consists of the winners (from left to right) Gion, Olivia, Leandra, Elisabeth, Ava, Vivienne, Tammaro and Ean (not in the picture)

2023/24

At the casting in autumn 2023, the best Swiss ice skating talents were judged by an expert jury for the first time. The winners Ean, Leandra and Olivia performed at the Art on Ice shows from 8 to 17 February 2024 in Zurich, Fribourg and Davos.
