POP ART ARTIST

Romero Britto

Growing up in the favelas of Brazil, Romero Britto painted on scraps of paper as a child, driven by colour, hope and belief in himself. The art world called his works ‘too commercial, too simple’. Today, his art is known worldwide and loved by the people. His colourful works reflect his optimistic, positive attitude towards life.

Romero Britto is one of the most influential pop art artists of our time. His colourful works have been exhibited in over 120 countries, including the renowned Carrousel du Louvre in Paris and Hyde Park in London. His art has also attracted considerable attention in the world of sport and pop culture: he designed the opening of Super Bowl XLI, was the official artist of the FIFA World Cup and served as ambassador for the Olympic Games in Rio.

Numerous top international brands such as Bentley, Puma, Coca-Cola, Disney, Hublot, Visa and Swarovski have collaborated with him on creative projects. Britto has also worked with Marvel and DC Comics, designing iconic pop art versions of Spider-Man, Wonder Woman, Batman and many other superheroes.

As the world’s most licensed artist and an inspirational speaker at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Britto represents a unique combination of art, emotion and global appeal.

Romero Britto is the perfect match for Art on Ice 2026: He not only designed the anniversary logo, but also created an exclusive Art on Ice artwork. His story and his art are part of a large mosaic that flows into the show.
