His journey began almost 20 years ago and is far from over. Lukas Britschgi took his first steps on the ice at the tender age of six. From that moment on, his passion for the art of ice skating was unlocked. This was followed by four Swiss Championships, competing in one Olympics and the bronze medal at the European Championships, as well as a top eight placing at the 2023 World Championships in Japan. In 2024, Britschgi proved that he had finally arrived among the world’s elite by finishing sixth at the World Championships and winning gold at the European Championships in 2025.
The 27-year-old, who describes himself as a hard worker rather than particularly talented, makes the most difficult elements look easy on the ice. He has made a name for himself among fans and judges alike with his creative and artistic competition and show programmes.
This year he will be presenting his extraordinary skills at Art on Ice for the third time. His show promises a powerful combination of artistic skating and live music.
