Lukas Britschgi
The triple Swiss champion
His journey began almost 20 years ago and is far from over. Lukas Britschgi took his first steps on the ice at the tender age of six when he joined a children’s group lesson. From that moment on, his passion for the art of ice skating was unlocked. This was followed by winning three Swiss Championships, one participation at the Olympics and the bronze medal in the European Championships, as well as a top eight placing at the World Championships in Japan. There is not just talent but also hard work behind the success. Britschgi trains some 23 hours per week. The tough training pays off. The man from Schaffhausen sets his sights high.
At the last show in February 2023, we were able to admire Lukas Britschgi during Art on Ice’s introductory programme – this year he will demonstrate his exceptional skills to live music. His performance promises to create a magical marriage between artistic skating and live music.
