Highlight-Video Art on Ice 2026
During their appearance on stage, our founders Reto Caviezel and Oliver Höner demonstrated their gratitude for 30 years of Art on Ice. At the end, Reto said to Oliver: “What do you think? Shall we do another one?” Oliver’s immediate response was: “No, we’ll do two encores to finish.” The audiences were beside themselves with excitement and showed their appreciation with a long round of applause.
Here you can find out about the other highlights of the Art on Ice anniversary show.
Let’s start with our figure skating stars. There was a huge amount of hype around Ilia Malinin. Fans from around the world travelled to Zurich to see the so-called Quad God live. His quadruple Axel is one of the most spectacular features of modern figure skating and he is the only figure skater in the world who performs this jump. On the Saturday afternoon show, he really ramped up the action, surprising the audience with a backflip immediately after his Axel! The excitement surrounding him was so great that some young fans waited outside the Hallenstadion in Zurich until late into the night in the hope of catching a glimpse of their idol and perhaps even getting an autograph or a photo.
The Olympic silver medal winners Anastasiia Metelkina and Luka Berulava also gave an impressive demonstration of why they are among the most prominent pairs in the world. Their powerful, precise performance thrilled the audience. Elladj Baldé’s show was highly emotional. Together with dancers and the Skaters Group, he transported the audience away to another world in a spine-tingling performance to the song “Ocean” by Stefanie Heinzmann. The three-time ice dancing world champions and Olympic medal winners Madison Chock and Evan Bates put on a moving and emotional show which left many audience members with tears in their eyes.
There were also many highlights on the stage during Art on Ice 2026. Noah Veraguth celebrated his premiere as a solo artist and opened his performance with “I Take It All”. This number also marked the end of the last Pegasus concert in December. In perfect harmony with the theme of “Against all Odds”, he demonstrated that audiences also love solo performances of his music. James Bay thrilled the audience with his world-famous song “Let It Go” and his finale number “Hold Back the River”. His voice created a very special atmosphere in the venues. And as mentioned, in this anniversary year, there was not just one encore, but two! Stefanie Heinzmann, Stress, Noah Veraguth and Jess Glynne brought a thrilling party atmosphere to the venues.
Our VIP guests in Zurich enjoyed some culinary treats before the show, including the gala buffet, the Fondue Chinoise and the exclusive Golden Circle experience backstage, which gave them a wonderful start to the evening. The atmosphere continued backstage with the after-show party. Some of the special moments included interesting interviews with the founders and with the stars of the rink and the stage.
One particular highlight was the appearance by the pianist James Slater, who treated our guests to a performance of piano music and song. On impulse, he invited Noah Veraguth to join him to play and sing on stage. James Slater was playing the piano at the Splendid Bar that night 30 years ago when Reto Caviezel and Oliver Höner came up with the idea for Art on Ice. This made him the perfect choice to entertain the guests in the Golden Circle.
The “Against all Odds” anniversary show once again demonstrated why Art on Ice has been a unique live experience for over 30 years. World-class figure skating, international music stars and emotional stories turned this tour into something very special. And one thing always remains true: listen to your inner voice, even if the road is sometimes difficult, because that is often where the most exciting stories begin.
